About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Communications Consultant (Senior Communications Strategist Lead) for our Diverse Segments, Representation & Inclusion (DSRI) team. This Communications Lead will be responsible for shaping a holistic, comprehensive diverse segments communications strategy, helping to oversee our diverse segments communications work and identify cross-segment opportunities. This role will coordinate across Communications and Public Affairs, with accountabilities that include connecting internal partners and key stakeholders, enhancing employee engagement, and helping to rebuild corporate reputation.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the development of our overarching diverse segments communications strategy that supports and promotes our diverse segments work and our company’s DE&I priorities
  • Identify and support cross-segment opportunities to strengthen continuous, sustained DE&I storytelling internally and externally
  • Provide oversight and support for diverse segments-focused campaigns such as key initiatives and heritage months
  • Provide strategic counsel and communications support for DSRI leaders and for diverse segments communications leads
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on reputation management issues
  • Lead innovative approaches that enhance the impact of our diverse segments communications
  • Identify executive advocacy, external speaking and/or social media opportunities
  • Seek opportunities to fully leverage internal and external channels to tell and amplify our story
  • Lead development of enterprise DSRI messaging framework
  • Leverage the Centers of Excellence for best-in-class content, storytelling, branding and media results
  • Collaborate across Public Affairs to coordinate work and ensure a “One Wells Fargo” approach
  • Partner with communicators to create alignment and support for enhancing the overall corporate reputation
  • Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives
  • Work on additional projects, as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing integrated communications strategies and plans for top executives
  • Experience counseling executives on high profile issues and the delivery of internal and external communications
  • Experience in crisis communications and issues management
  • Experience with proactive and reactive media relations
  • Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, enhances understanding at all levels
  • Experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) related communications

Job Expectations:

  • Travel up to 10% of the time
  • Due to a city-wide mandate in New York City, all individuals who perform in-person work or interact with the public during business must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for an approved accommodation to be exempt from being fully vaccinated.  Currently, this position falls under the scope of this mandate

Pay Range:

  • NY- New York Pay Range: $133,300- $237,100
  • CA- Los Angeles Pay Range: $122,200- $217,200
  • NC- Charlotte Pay Range: $111,100- $197,500
  • Salary range is determined by location of the job
