Job Description

WSP in the U.S. is seeking a seasoned, efficient Internal Communications Specialist to work out of any of our US WSP offices with a strong focus on leadership communications, storytelling, and content strategy.

In this role, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing leadership communication campaigns and developing content that celebrates our employees and innovations. Our internal communication team serves as a strategic partner and employee advocate to our senior leaders, and the Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create and align strategic communications across our growing organization.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong writer and storyteller capable of managing competing deadlines and quick turnaround requests. We are looking for a solutions-driven, entrepreneurial internal communication generalist with a pragmatic focus on delivering for our clients and a desire to grow their own expertise and capabilities. Previous experience supporting internal editorial campaigns, executive communications, and navigating stakeholder management at all levels of seniority is beneficial, as is a candidate with creative ideas to streamline, refine, and expedite processes. Your Impact

Working alongside the U.S. internal communications team, you will:

  • Support our editorial content development by writing compelling, engaging stories about the people and projects that make WSP unique.
  • Support the development and execution of enterprise, functional, and business line-specific internal communications strategies.
  • Craft clear, consistent, and persuasive leadership and organizational communication messages, as well as producing a variety of communication materials including presentations, FAQs, talking points, town hall scripts, and more.
  • Embrace new technology and tools to leverage both written and visual communication mediums to convey complex information in a clear, impactful way.
  • Build strong relationships and networks with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Support the continuous evaluation and refinement of internal communications processes to identify better ways of working.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or content development.
  • Proven experience in communications, preferably with a focus on content development and internal communications.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience managing stakeholder feedback cycles in alignment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear and persuasive messages for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to turn complex ideas into simple, relatable stories.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Experience in analyzing communication effectiveness through data and metrics.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $72,800 – $127,380

WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
