We are looking for a senior communications strategist to join our growing team as a Senior Director-Team Lead. This person will serve as strategic partner to our innovator clients, lead a remote team of strategists and consultants, while also contributing to the growth of the firm. As a counselor to our C-suite level clients, this person will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds who are working to improve human health.   • Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to existing and prospective C-suite level clients
  • Proactively counsel clients and team, identify opportunities to add value, creatively solve problems
  • Manage client relationship and program deliverables, build relationships with key stakeholders and business partners
  • Anticipate needs, troubleshoot issues, ensure client satisfaction, drive referrals
  • Ensure consistent Verge experience centered on thoughtful strategy and service
  • Lead, coach, and motivate account team and external partners to ensure client goals are met and exceeded, deliverables are on time and on budget
  • Communicate strategic direction and set the tone for the account
  • Responsible for fostering consistent client experience
  • Adjust programming to meet the evolving needs of clients
  • Ultimately responsible for strategic direction, execution, financial management, and profitability of accounts
  • Build business, cultivate new client opportunities, drive growth organically
  • Contribute to company growth and revenue goals
  • Grow existing business to meet/exceed account revenue goals
  • Identify new business prospects, generate leads; contribute to cultivating new clients
  • Actively manage and mentor junior team members, direct reports
  • Identify opportunities for staff growth and professional development
  • Lead staff-wide education/training efforts
  • Contribute to and participate in professional development and training efforts
  • Serve as a senior leader for the firm, regularly communicate POV/thought leadership both internally and externally
  • Foster a positive work environment; cultivate a culture centered on people, service, fun, and innovation


  • 15+ years of experience in healthcare communications, PR agency experience required
  • Corporate communications, corporate branding, investor relations, and/or internal communications experience
  • Recent agency experience or consulting with emerging biotech/biopharma companies preferred
  • Experience counseling C-suite/executive level clients
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Servant leader: highly collaborative and supportive of coworkers, business partners and clients
  • Ability to effectively lead and actively manage a remote team
  • Ability to cultivate new client opportunities, grow business organically
  • Proven track record of managing agency account financials
