Senior Director, Communications and Integrated Marketing
As a member of the organization’s national marketing and communications team, the Senior Director of Communications and Integrated Marketing’s primary responsibilities will be to identify, develop and implement comprehensive, integrated marketing and communications strategies to elevate awareness, engagement and support of Easterseals among targeted populations including individual donors, philanthropists, corporations, foundations, legislators and national media to advance strategic imperatives aligned with brand marketing in Network Strategic Plan.
Serve as a member of the national public relations team with its agency of record to identify and support strategic public relations campaigns and placements in traditional and new media to build brand awareness among key audiences and position Easterseals as a leading disability services provider and disability advocate.
Serve as a member of the organization’s Brand Marketing Council of National Office and Affiliate marketing and communications professionals, working closely with Affiliates to identify and develop stories of impact with supporting assets including videos and photos to enhance public relations efforts with agency of record. Leverage Network Advancement national team and Affiliate Programmatic Affinity Groups to accomplish the same.
Research, write and edit thought leadership pieces as well as media remarks, scripts, and presentations in collaboration with SVP for President and CEO as well as national press releases as required for National Board of Directors and National Corporate Partners.
Identify brand-building opportunities for Easterseals through the development of national media relationships and national strategic partnerships.
Collaborate with internal digital content team and outside consultants to develop compelling national website content including blogs; innovative email marketing and digital advertising campaigns to generate consumer engagement and elevate fundraising; and innovative social media strategies. Measure the effectiveness of all strategies in building brand awareness and heightened engagement with and support of Easterseals to realize organizational and departmental goals.
Provide design and direction for digital and off-line national assets including quarterly thought leadership virtual events aligned with organization’s editorial calendar, annual report, brochures, PPT presentations, and other projects as assigned.
Spearhead advancement of organization’s All In: The Plan for Disability Equity initiative with internal team and Affiliates to generate awareness through traditional and new media placements to secure commitments from a minimum of 10 national corporations and partner organizations by YE 2021.
Collaborate with SVP and research firm to design, execute and analyze national brand perception survey.
Collaborate with SVP in the development of media buy with limited budgeted to demonstrate ROI and achievement of organizational and departmental goals in building brand among key populations.
Edit bi-weekly Network Update e-newsletter.

Minimum of ten years of demonstrated and progressive success in national nonprofit or corporate communications and integrated marketing.
Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills with demonstrated proficiency in writing for C-suite and senior executives as well as for the media.
Strong organizational skills including priority-setting, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
Creative innovator with self-motivated desire to achieve excellence and team success.
Strong relationship building and stewardship skills.
Proficient in project management, including tracking of timelines, budgets, and new and traditional media analytics.
Familiarity with and sensitivity to disability issues.
Commitment to collaboration with diverse groups demonstrates ability to be a successful team member and thought partner across the Network.
Demonstrated qualities of integrity, respect, and judgement.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop, Excel, and Power Point.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, integrated marketing, business management, or related field
