Position Overview:

The Senior Director, Digital Strategy is responsible for leading and developing an integrated and scalable approach to amplifying The Coca-Cola Company’s external and internal communications to key stakeholder groups, including but not limited to employees and media. This role will lead and drive the transformation in leveraging digital tools to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Company’s communications internally and externally. This position reports to the Vice President, Global Communications and will work cross-functionally, cross-geographically, to provide alignment for the successful implementation of our communications digital strategy world-wide.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
•Lead the digital agenda for the Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS) function and influence as a cross-functional integrator.
•The role will identify new approaches to digitizing how the PACS function operates, increasing effectiveness and efficiency, including analysis of how stakeholders currently receive and internalize communications from PACS.
•Work in partnership with cross-functional teams (IT, HR and others) to assess stakeholder needs and insights for receiving digital communications and using digital platforms, and develop a broad digital communications strategy across the enterprise.
•Evaluate tools, systems, technologies, strategies and best practices and serve as thought leader across the Global Communications team to help meet needs and demands of key stakeholders through a new innovative digital communications strategy, including vendor selection and implementation.
•Provide thought leadership and expertise in the role of digital technologies as a communications amplifier.
•The role will identify new approaches to digitizing how the Company communicates key messages internally and externally, increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
•Develop strong, integrated network with markets and cross-functionally so that all digital communication efforts can be leveraged successfully.
•Coordinate with global communications teams, bottling partners and other functions to ensure consistency of digital amplification to all key internal and external audiences, ensuring building, learning, and scaling best-in-class digital communications initiatives, grounded in the data.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or Technology related discipline. MBA highly preferred.

Related Work Experience: 10-15 years of work experience with a large multi-national company and/or organization known for its knowledge and experience in developing and enabling world class digital solutions. Deep and broad knowledge of digital, social, and data tools and solutions.

•Digital: Strong creative, media and technical delivery specialist with a strong interest in technology and digital marketing. Proven track record in developing digital, mobile, website, email and social strategy plans that benefit the client. Expertise in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube. Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be used as a communications vehicle. Demonstrated understanding of paid, earned and owned media integration.
•Strategy: Strong strategic thinker who will have led the identification and implementation of innovative digital solutions. Demonstrated ability to identify needs, generate organizational buy-in, and operationally execute. Experience in participating from a strategic perspective through website development and the ability to strategize an engaging social/digital experience, utilizing multiple platforms to deliver and engage a compelling brand story. Passion for and knowledge of current and emerging technologies. Entrepreneurial spirit and instinct for creative problem-solving.
•Research/Analytics: Research and analysis skills including online listening, competitive/marketplace auditing, trend analyses, and data analysis.

Define, Develop and Execute Communication Strategy: Develop and execute global communications strategies involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and initiatives, incorporating diverse channels of communication to support our products, ingredients, policies and programs. Must be able to leverage working knowledge of technology platforms, evolving communication systems, social media tools and channels.

Understand, Interpret and Apply Data, Polling and Stakeholder Insights: Manage vendor to conduct research/focus groups and analyze findings – benchmarking against previous research. Review findings across geographies and identify commonalities/variances exist and then develop and execute plans from the findings including trend assessment and action plans.

Project Management: Ability to work cross-functionally (across BUs, functions, stakeholders) to initiate, plan, execute, anticipate challenges, develop solutions to correct and effectively deliver projects on time and within budget.
