About the Team
The People and Purpose (HR) Employee Communications team is responsible for the delivery of well-timed, consistent programming and messaging across Workday audiences to drive awareness, engagement and utilization of programs and initiatives. We work in a highly dynamic environment where innovation and agility are key.
About the Role
We’re looking for a strong communications professional with experience driving employee communications in a fast-paced, diverse workplace. The Senior Employee Communications Manager, will lead the development and implementation of strategic employee communications programs and storytelling supporting the employee experience. This role will partner closely with the Employee Life and Belonging & Diversity teams as well as play a key role in our crisis response efforts for events that may affect the wellbeing or safety of our employees. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement creative strategic employee communications plans to support global Employee Life and Belonging & Diversity programs and initiatives.

Serve as a strategic advisor to subject matter experts on the Employee Life and Belonging & Diversity teams.

Craft company-wide emails, Slack posts, video scripts and intranet copy to support key projects.

Create compelling content that uses storytelling to illustrate how the employee experience comes to life.

Draft communications and engage with stakeholders to support crisis response efforts.

Partner with members of the broader corporate employee communications team to identify opportunities for message integration, alignment and amplification.
About You
Basic Qualifications
-
At least 7-10 years working in corporate communications, including employee communications experience.

Bachelor’s degree.
Other Qualifications

Proven success developing and implementing strategic employee communications across a variety of channels to help achieve business objectives.

Established track record collaborating with and proactively supporting leaders on communications strategies and best practices; client service mentality and consultative approach.

Experience with change management and communicating key initiatives across multiple internal target audiences.

Innovative mindset – always looking for ways to improve how Workday communicates with and engages employees.

Outstanding writing and editing skills; ability to write for a broad spectrum of multi-media communications channels.

Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging; ability to write in a simple, direct, warm and friendly tone.

High degree of flexibility, with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.

Technology industry expertise, with specific knowledge and experience in the software market, is favorable but not required.
