Job Description
The Senior Manager, Retail Communications & Engagement reports to the Executive Director, Retail Communications and will drive and execute an internal communications strategy focused on informing and engaging retail colleagues and the enterprise. This individual will influence strategic decisions pertaining to scope, pitch and implementation of internal and external communications strategies and engagement activities aligned to the retail co-President and Chief Customer Experience Officer’s strategy and goals and key enterprise programs and initiatives. The Senior Manager, Retail Communications & Engagement will coordinate communication about the CVS retail business broadly across CVS Health enterprise to promote awareness and understanding of the business unit’s key goals and deliverables, amplifying priority initiatives.

This position will lead the internal and external executive messaging needs of the retail co-President and Chief Customer Experience Officer, specifically, driving the engagement strategy via internal and external channels, e.g., myChat, LinkedIn as well as developing internal memos and communications, Retail Town Hall Meetings, Customer Success & Growth Town Hall Meetings, Retail Senior Leader Meetings, special projects and announcements, and other key internal and external meetings the co-President and Chief Customer Experience Officer may be invited to with materials and resources including slides, talking points and other assets, as needed. In addition, this role will develop assets for earned and owned channels to amplify key business priorities with stakeholders.

This individual is a member of the CVS Retail communications team and involves a high degree of relationship building across the enterprise and beyond and serves as a trusted partner within the Retail business and across the broader company in Operation, Product Innovation, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Legal, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Government Affairs, marketing, Sales and Account Management, Investor Relations as well as external stakeholders including agency partners and consultants.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,400
Maximum: 162,700

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years Communications experience which includes developing and executing communication plans, coordination of internal communications channels, writing a variety of content (e.g., leader memos, executive talking points, presentations, etc.)

• Willingness to travel as needed to support business needs

• Proven experience developing and executing successful communication programs at the enterprise or business unit level for major corporate organizations, retail experience a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to synthesize business strategies into communication solutions and ability to set strategy and maintain channel focus.

• Ability to build relationships; integrate strategies; and connect the dots between messages, timing, and activities under other leaders’ influence.

• Adjust communication style to the audience to help them understand and accept change.

• Ability to manage, motivate and inspire a top performing team that drives execution of strategies against outlined plans.

• Ability to handle high level confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of healthcare and retail industry work experience. Corporate and agency PR experience a plus.

• Strategic and analytical thinker, with superior problem-solving skills and the ability to support tactical execution without losing site of the overall strategy

• Comfort meeting with and presenting plans to senior leaders and executives

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with other professionals in a matrixed organization toward a common goal

• Strong verbal communications skills with the ability to listen, articulate your ideas and advocate best practice solutions for content and communications

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business, or a related field.
