## About the Role
You will lead advocacy campaigns that strengthen the Association’s relationships and visibility with state CPA societies, state boards of accountancy, and other key partners. You will ensure congruous messaging across the organization, promote the Association’s value proposition, and support advocacy priorities through integrated communications. You will report to the Director – State Society Relations and work on a hybrid schedule.

## You Will
– **Develop advocacy communications strategies** — Create campaigns targeted at state CPA societies and allied advocacy partners, ensuring consistency, technical accuracy, and alignment on Association priorities.
– **Establish a communications approach** — Manage the Association‑wide communications framework for state CPA societies, including schedule, channels, and content standards.
– **Monitor and evaluate communications** — Use insights and metrics to assess progress and refine strategies for improved outcomes.
– **Identify policy and reputational risks** — Collaborate across teams to provide coordinated responses to emerging issues.
– **Communicate the Association’s value** — Deliver clear messaging to state CPA societies, boards of accountancy, and other priority audiences.
– **Develop partner relationships** — Maintain strong connections with partners to stay aligned on priorities, opportunities, and challenges.
– **Collaborate on messaging consistency** — Work with state CPA societies and advocacy partners to ensure unified messaging and agreement on key programs.
– **Coordinate cross‑team alignment** — Ensure communications and engagement strategies are aligned across internal teams and external partners.
– **Ensure information flow** — Promote informed decision‑making and cohesive execution through effective internal communication.

## You Have
– **Bachelor’s degree** in Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
– **7+ years of experience** in public relations or communications within an agency, association, corporate, government, or journalism environment.
– **Experience developing content** and implementing multi‑channel advocacy communications campaigns.
– **Understanding of the accounting profession** and broader finance/business environment (helpful but not required).
