As a trusted spokesperson for our company and our clients, you’ll help ensure that the voice of investors is heard in Washington.  Using your expertise in regulatory policy, you’ll take a stand for investors with federal agencies and policy makers. That means bringing integrity and clarity to all that we do. Clear, positive, straightforward communication and advocacy is part of our identity, and as our Senior Regulatory Policy Advisor, you’ll ensure we maintain it.

As a senior member of the Regulatory Affairs team, you will …

Take responsibility for Vanguard’s position on retirement and other policy issues affecting investors, our business and industry. Use your relationship-building and interpersonal skills to advance Vanguard’s public policy agenda with policymakers, legislators and regulators, as appropriate. Lead the analysis of proposed regulatory actions and determine the potential impact on the organization. Maintain strong working relationships with key governmental entities, professional and industry trade associations, and internal stakeholders. Advocate for Vanguard’s policy positions, interests, and the health of the enterprise and its industry. Represent the organization in matters before the U.S. Department of Labor and other regulatory, legislative, or industry standards agencies. Coordinate the development of legislative and regulatory strategies to advocate public policy goals and to and influence trade association agendas and action plans. Manage the effective and timely communication of policy developments affecting various businesses and other stakeholders.

What it Takes

  • Minimum of ten years related work experience. Government relations experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
