Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, creative, responsive and caring Social Media Manager to build upon a solid foundation regarding our company brand and online presence. The successful candidate will usher in a new wave of company development and growth.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain a consistent brand standard and image across all platforms company wide

Develop & implement unique content strategies across all our current platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Instagram Reels, and many more)

Design, develop, & implement branding strategies for the sales teams in multiple regions to use in conjunction with online marketing efforts

Coach incoming & current sales teams on content strategies for personal branding within the company

Create a weekly/monthly content plan for each platform we post to regularly

Must understand the importance of originality and deploy content appropriately for that specific platform

Have weekly/monthly meetings with leadership and sales team to discuss current & future marketing & branding efforts

Compile weekly and biweekly reports to discuss your work, as well as highlighting metrics and lead flow for that time period

Travel to relevant trade shows/conferences on the company’s behalf – developing & implementing new strategies based on outcome of trade show and networking from conference

Act as the liaison between EBR & the SEO company

Assist the office admins with onboarding new staff (i.e. taking headshots for website, creating accounts for company email, CRM, etc.) in addition to shooting intro video for incoming salesman

Travel to our different territories producing content with sales team (must be comfortable on roofs) to deploy on our various platforms

Travel to produce content before, during, and after a roof install

Work with the company trainer to record & edit new training and video modules for the company

Attend vendor trainings and recording vendor trainings for future use within the company

Assist sales team in roof inspections occasionally via drone

Make creative changes to the website (i.e. changing out creatives, adding new headshots to website, changing out copied content, developing new pages as company grows)

Interact in a timely manner with customers online when they message, comment, or post to any company accounts to help resolve issues and solicit reviews or client testimonials.

Develop, deploy, and analyze ad performance on Facebook ads & Google Ads

Have a deep understanding of the 2 ad platforms & developing ad strategies appropriate for each platform

Develop & deploy retargeting strategies on Facebook to increase sales opportunities

Help keep the company on the forefront of tech by recommending changes to company’s IT as well as vetting out software and companies to help streamline processes and efficiency

Design, create, then order marketing materials (once they are approved) for events such as the Bloomington Chamber After Hours Event

Keep MASTER drive of company media & company projects as well as backups

Maintain relationships online as well as in person with all of our vendors we use to produce various marketing materials

Manage all of our social media accounts as well as our other company accounts.

 

Video expectations:

In addition to producing unique content across our various accounts, the following must be done monthly:

  • Produce at least 2-3 pieces of unique content with EACH sales person in every region
  • Produce at least 1 long form video of a roof install each month
  • Shoot at least 1-2 video testimonials a month
  • Work with trainer to produce internal training videos for sales staff & team
  • Format all videos appropriately to fit the aspect ratio most relevant to that account (I.e. 9×16 for TikTok, reels, shorts, 16×9 for YouTube, LinkedIn. 1×1 where it makes sense)

 

Photo expectations:

In addition to producing unique content across our various accounts the following must be done monthly:

  • Produce before/after photos of most, if not all, roofs the company completes
  • Photograph action shots of sales team to use in adverts and general postings
  • Take drone photos of roofs we’ve completed
  • Tag every original photo with our company logo

 

Posting expectations:

  • Facebook: 2-3 times a day (page posting, stories, etc)
  • Instagram: at least once a day in the form of a post, story or reel
  • TikTok: 4-5 times a week
  • YouTube: at least 1-2 times a week in the form of a video or YouTube short
  • LinkedIn: at least 1-2 times a week in the form of a video or blog post
  • Twitter: at least once a day in the form of quick tip of pic

 

Requirements and skills:

Must be comfortable climbing roofs

Must manage time well & have an ability to multitask

1-2 years’ experience with Adobe Products. Specifically: Premiere Pro, Photoshop, & Illustrator. After Effects not required, but bonus

2+ years’ experience in videography. (With both a DSLR & phone) – Please include reel when applying

Must be proficient with a gimbal

1-2 years’ experience flying a drone with Part 107 license. – not required but preferred.

2+ years’ experience in marketing

2+ years’ experience running Facebook ads

2+ years’ experience running Google ads

1-2 years of website design knowledge – WordPress

Must have knowledge & experience with every social platform we are on (TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram)

Must be proficient in writing ad copy

Drive to jobsites for content capture

 

Compensation:

Full Time

Salary ($50,000) (FLSA Exempt)

Equity Builders of Bloomington, Inc. does not have nor offer any type of benefits plan other than a company sponsored 401(k).

Limited training will be provided as the expected level of knowledge and experience will need to meet proficiency requirements.
