Summary:

 

The Child Mind Institute is seeking a talented Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team. The Social Media and Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing our social media strategy, developing engaging content, and maintaining our social media presence across multiple platforms. The successful individual will have experience managing day-to-day organic posts on various social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

The ideal candidate is a creative writer and innovative individual who can work with teams to develop strategy, write copy and manage social communities in a dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, this is an exempt, full-time hybrid position located in our NYC headquarters office.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate initiative in the conception and execution of day to day organic posts on Child Mind Institute social channels that are critical to the fulfillment of our educational mission. Platforms include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok; and our Project UROK social channels: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook.
Assist with the design and execution of social posts and independently create social assets as needed.
Monitor engagement and conversations across social platforms and proactively develop protocols for community management.
Create first draft copy for audience-focused social posts.
Manage Child Mind Institute social content calendar.
Collaborate with various teams at the Child Mind Institute to triage social media requests and help organize/optimize social posts per best practices, campaign goals, and branding.
Serve as subject matter expert by keeping up-to-date with social trends for potential content ideas and facilitating regular brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or 4-6 years experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or a related field with demonstrated experience growing social channels and developing engaging content.
Deep understanding of the social media landscape, both short and long-term trends.
Intimate knowledge of social platforms, tools, social creators, and best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret social data.
Ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-moving environment
Ability to work independently or with a team to manage projects, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong social copywriting and excellent attention to detail.
