Job Description

PURPOSE: Work to support Mall of America® as a brand by using social media to increase awareness, share information and enhance the guest experience to ultimately increase traffic, sales and sales per square foot. This individual will work closely with our Social Media Senior Manager and Social Media Representatives to ensure Mall of America guests have an incredible experience before, during and after their visit.



  • Help with the moderation, creation and implementation of all coverage and content for Mall of America’s various social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Support Enhanced Service Portal (ESP) and Social Media Representatives by providing direction, training and scheduling
  • Primary contact for Nickelodeon Universe social media accounts, tasked with helping create and implement channel
  • Work with Tourism and Sponsorship teams to coordinate social media content for MOA corporate partners
  • Monitor and track key analytics of all Mall of America social accounts, prepare weekly, monthly and campaign specific social reports to be shared with senior leadership team
  • Responsible for helping implement and tracking MOA social media influencer program. Work closely with other team members to identify and connect with key bloggers (local, regional, national) and influencers
  • Assist with paid social media content for various departments, working closely with counterpart in marketing department
  • Ensure appropriate content is posted on behalf of MOA on all entities in a timely fashion (daily, hourly)
  • Meet weekly and as needed with Social Media Senior Manager to ensure overall social strategy and approach is executed and on-track
  • Track customer engagement sentiment and opportunities for social care improvement
  • Identify opportunities to create relevant and positive social media content
  • Coordinate with Events, Retail Marketing and Attractions teams to help implement social media strategy for upcoming events and marketing campaigns
  • Additional duties as assigned.



  • BA/BS with an emphasis in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or Liberal Arts
  • 2-4 years of Social Media, Marketing, Communications or related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms channels including, but not limited to Facebook, TikTok Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing platforms. Knowledge of using social media tools for business
  • Ability to have a non-traditional work schedule when needed to accommodate peak retail hours
  • Possess a passion for social media, community engagement and digital media. Strong knowledge of computer and word processing applications
  • Strong customer service skills
