Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Global Advocacy Campaign Specialist.

Reporting to the Global Advocacy Campaign Manager, the Global Advocacy Campaign Specialist will provide project coordination to the ongoing development, rollout and implementation of Habitat for Humanity’s second global advocacy campaign which will increase equitable access to adequate housing for people living in informal settlements. The specialist will support and track campaign implementation across its seven impact and planning objectives: influence policy and systems change, ensure localized solutions through participation in policy processes, elevate discourse to influence policy and systems, advance organizational alignment on advocacy campaigning and issue focus, form sustainable cross-sectoral relationships, reflect empowered participation internally and mobilize resources to support advocacy.

This position will work with members of the global advocacy team, advocacy campaigns team, and other departments across the Habitat network to achieve successful campaign development, coordination and communication, to achieve the campaign’s goal of increasing equitable access to adequate housing for people living in informal settlements through policy and systems change at the local, national, regional and global levels. The campaign specialist will also manage and improve strategies, particularly related to monitoring and evaluation, learning, and campaign participation, to ensure Habitat’s global network builds sustainable policy and advocacy capacity leading into and throughout the life of the campaign.

This position is based in Washington, DC on a hybrid basis and will require 5% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and report on campaign progress and performance, including tracking of quarterly progress, development of annual progress report, and ongoing tracking of and lessons learned from campaign activities.
* Track campaign participation and level of involvement in the campaign, monitor campaign activities and coordinate for appropriate participation levels.
* Develop and coordinate network campaign learning strategy, including rollout of advocacy campaign capacity building activities, including webinars, trainings and materials.
* Coordinate internal and support external network communications – including social media plan, intranet website to share resources, emails to the network – including global policy update, collaboration with external communications folks, etc.
* Ensure network campaigning examples are leveraged for peer learning.
* Work with the global advocacy team to engage and support Habitat entities in creating and implementing local, national and regional campaigns, and engagement in influencing the global advocacy target, including supporting the development of tools and resources as necessary.
* Ensure common understanding of all campaign deliverables and timelines.
* Support the identification and relationship building with campaign endorsers.


* Pursuant to current HFHI policy, this position requires full vaccination against COVID-19, except to the extent such requirement is prohibited by applicable law.
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
* 1+ years of project management and advocacy-related experience.
* Advanced knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or other project management tools.
* Strong project coordination skills; able to manage multiple strands of work towards an overall objective.
* Highly organized; excellent attention to detail; ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
* Track record of effective collaboration across teams and networks.
* Comfortable with a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment; ability to learn quickly, take initiative and handle ambiguity.
* Demonstrated interest in addressing the housing need globally.

* Experience in using quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to assess effectiveness and recalibrate as needed.
* Familiarity with Habitat for Humanity and/or other affiliated networks.
* CRM experience.
* Experience with social media, especially Twitter.
