Basic Function of the Position: Provide support to staff on public policy issues affecting the CE industry, lead CES coordination for the department, including managing the LIT tour program and state government program, and assist in state policy issues.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
•Manage LIT tour program and state government program for CES.
•Offer integral support in development of CTA programs for government and industry guests, including CES and CTA Tech Week.
•Coordinate state organization conference activities.
•Manage and organize CTA policy-related events, including policy briefings, receptions, technology demonstrations and lobby days.
•Facilitate partnerships with external coalitions, associations, and CTA members on policy engagements, advocacy and events.
•Monitor state legislation relating to privacy, 5G, internet intermediary liability and self-driving vehicles impacting the consumer technology industry and assist as needed.
•Maintain legislative database of relevant legislation that could affect CTA members.
•Assist in management of CTA Privacy Working Group meetings, conference calls and updates. Ensure timely posting of meeting notices, minutes, agendas.
•Manage event invitation list process. Organize event invitation lists, and ensure integrity and validity of contact list database
•Represent association at events, including industry meetings and external association meetings.
•Other duties as required by business needs.

Experience & Education:
•At least 2-4 years of related work experience working on legislative or regulatory issues and/or technology industry experience. Capitol Hill experience is plus.
•Bachelor’s Degree in political science or related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Strong knowledge of the political process.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•Familiarity with PAC and grassroots software is a plus.
•Effective written and verbal communications skills in public speaking, presentations, and written reports.
•Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, particularly on the telephone.
•Ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues and tasks, and the ability to work reliably on complex projects with tight deadlines.
