WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • As Live Nation’s Head of Public Affairs, this individual is responsible for developing and executing public affairs campaigns in support of the company’s public policy, business, and reputational goals at the federal and state level

  • Be responsible for developing and driving proactive policy communications on behalf of the company through third party validators to promote key messages with policymakers

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media responsible for DC and State Capitol policy beats

  • Drive Live Nation priorities with coalitions, associations and other third-party organizations

  • Lead the planning of large-scale events for policymakers to showcase the power of live entertainment

  • Make recommendations and prepare briefing materials for executive engagement with media and third-party groups/events

  • Develop written messaging, presentations, and infographics for media and policymaker consumption

  • Externally, manage public affairs firms and closely coordinate internally with Live Nation’s concert team and corporate communications department

  • Report to the SVP Public Policy and be able to work on cross-functional projects across the company

  • Maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders at Live Nation corporate, US Concerts Division, HR, and Ticketmaster

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Experience developing and executing measurable public affairs campaigns (communications, grassroots, earned and paid media, third party engagement, coalition building, and research)

  • Comprehensive understanding of legislative and regulatory process

  • Strong organizational skills to track projects and report to internal stakeholders on progress for the company

  • Relationships with stakeholders (reporters, think tanks, thought leaders, etc.)

  • An awareness and understanding of business and policy objectives of the company

  • Ability to manage external firms and industry coalitions

  • Understanding of the live event and/or ticketing industries is a plus

  • Strong writing skills with ability to gather relevant information and communicate effectively internally and externally

  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, include the communications organization and venue managements teams

  • 10+ years of experience in state/local government, corporate government relations, and/or associations
