Adapt Pharma, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emergent BioSolutions is looking for candidates for a newly created position of Director/Sr Director of State Government Affairs, reporting to the Vice President of State Government Affairs. The position is responsible for advocating corporate interests relating to naloxone access programs to state elected officials, regulatory agencies and other key decision makers in an assigned multi-state region. The successful candidate will advocate for legislative, regulatory and health policies and establish relationships with patient / provider stakeholders on key health policy issues.

 

The successful candidate for this role will hold a Bachelors’ degree in a related field or equivalent (an advanced degree is preferred) and seven or more years of experience interacting with policy and political leadership at the state or local level, to include several years of experience in a pharmaceutical or device sales role, and direct lobby and/or legislative staff experience is required. Strong marketing or sales acumen with documented successes and a strong understanding of the hospital formulary process. Extensive travel is required.
