Strategic Communication Lead, Senior
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a government program that focuses on providing cyber, information technology, and communications support to the military services, national-level leaders, and federal partners. Draft and edit internal and enterprise-wide communication and outreach products to inform the client’s workforce, including regular newsletters, announcements, leadership messages, fact sheets, quick reference guides, news releases, feature articles, brochures, video scripts, and social media. Develop and manage content for the client’s website, including blog posts, articles, and leadership messages and create collateral content, as needed. Collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders (e.g., subject matter experts, public affairs office, Chief Information Officers) in the creation of integrated internal/external communications campaigns both nationally and globally. Manage one or more communications channels, including serving as editor of the daily internal newsletter; managing official social media channels; managing the content development and layout. Ability to work in a fast pace and constantly evolving environment and manage and succeed with multiple competing priorities.
- 5+ years of experience with writing and editing, including tailoring content to different audiences’ needs and level of understanding
- Knowledge of various style guides (e.g., AP Style) and rules of grammar and punctuation
- Experience with developing products that comply with Section 508 and other accessibility-related standards
- Knowledge of using Microsoft products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint), Adobe products to format and design
- Secret clearance
- B.A. or BS degree
