As a Team Lead – Senior Communications Partner on the Strategic Engagement and Communications team within Cerner Government Services you will execute complex, multifunctional communications strategies through collaboration, competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification as well as lead collaboration with leaders and peers to gain an understanding of solutions, business strategy and healthcare industry to create content for assigned projects. This role will allow you to create and curate communications from concept to completion including white papers, articles, web pages, social media, presentations and other marketing collateral and manage and optimize communications within and across platforms and venues to increase the visibility of the company or an individual’s content. You will create standards to moderate user-generated content by monitoring submissions and determining appropriateness in accordance with the moderation policy for each community and consult with stakeholders on new communications trends and platforms and create approaches to positively leverage them or address emerging risks. In scope will also be to establish success measures and present results of communication efforts.

People Management Responsibilities:

You will seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution and delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed.

Using your management skills, you will lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize their accomplishments. You will provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability, and connect opportunities for your associates’ development and identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates’ skills to fill gaps.
