We’re excited to bring on a Risk Training & Communications Specialist, to our newly expanding Chief Risk Office.  You will help support the continued development and implementation of the Lincoln Financial Group’s Enterprise Risk Management program.  Working with the lines of business and critical areas within risk will be required to remain effective in this role.
The goal of this program is to deliver insightful and actionable risk analytics and governance that drive business results. Members of this program help identify, assess, and prioritize risks while developing processes to measure and report such risks throughout the organization.  As part of this role, you will assist with all aspects of Lincoln’s ERM framework but maintain a focus towards instituting and mobilizing a formal risk management training program

What you’ll be doing:


Risk Training & Communications Specialist / ERM specific responsibilities

Training and Development

  • Coordinates, develops, and maintains Enterprise Risk Management training materials according to best practices
  • Develops and conducts more complex training needs assessments and determines training requirements/curriculum to meet business needs – ensures materials are updated
  • Proactively collaborates and communicates with ERM leadership to address training gaps to support the improvement of organizational performance – measure progress through training classes, measure participants understanding & preparedness
  • Creates efficiencies for the ERM team by recording training videos for various workflows, including the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process

Special Projects

  • Supports the content creation and overall project management of the risk-management focused intranet channel.
  • Maintains the Enterprise Risk Management SharePoint site
  • Monitors the Chief Risk Office e-mailbox

Relationships and Communication

  • Establishes effective working relationships throughout the organization, both at the corporate level and within the businesses
  • Maintains connection points with individuals identified as part of the Risk Network
  • Assists with the coordination of broad Risk Network communications
  • Consults with Enterprise Risk Management leaders on strategic and risk-related issues
  • Helps identify, measure, and communicate total enterprise risk issues
  • Facilitates risk assessment discussions and analyses throughout the organization

What we’re looking for:

Must have:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in training or eLearning development
  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s) – Minimum Required
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate training needs using various communication methods such as computer based, interactive e-learning, traditional classroom, etc.
  • High energy, self-motivated, with a high level of self-awareness
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant experience and/or interest in insurance or risk management concepts

Work Arrangement

Hybrid/Home : Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
