Credit Suisse maintains a public policy team in Washington, DC to serve as the nexus between public policy makers within Congress, the Administration, regulators, and trade associations. Act as a liaison and be responsible for keeping Credit Suisse’s business units and product teams informed and up to date on events in Washington, DC

Your skills and experience


We are looking for an applicant who holds Advanced degree preferred (MBA, JD, PhD). Along with Proven experience of at least 7-10 years with financial regulatory agency matters. Whether from Capitol Hill or a regulatory or from working in a presidential Administration, the Credit Suisse Public Policy teams needs individuals who can navigate the government process.

List of skills encouraged in an applicant:

  • Responsible for crafting the firms’ regulatory policy strategy with respect to Credit Suisse’s US operations and interests.
  • Leading advocacy strategies (e.g., meetings, comment letters, talking points, etc.) to the Federal Reserve, FDIC, SEC, CFTC, associated SROs and other regulatory agencies on behalf of Credit Suisse’s banking, capital markets, and wealth management interests.
  • Work closely with senior leadership in Legal, Compliance, Risk, Front Office, and often at the C-suite level on potential advocacy strategies and the impacts of such regulations on the firms’ business practices
  • Ability to track numerous ongoing priorities and advance Credit Suisse’s policy interests with key regulators, policymakers, and trade associations
  • Ability to communicate optimally at all levels. Strong candidates will be able to prove they have ability to communicate on numerous different levels (i.e., C-suite all the way to subject matter specialists).
  • Previous experience with key regulators (e.g., Federal Reserve, SEC, and/or CFTC), peer institutions, other financial firms, or working at a multi-client or trade association on regulatory policy matters is strongly preferred!
