ABOUT THIS ROLE

BerlinRosen is seeking a Vice President of Public Affairs to lead important campaigns and challenges for clients at the forefront of technology, urban development, sports and policy. The Vice President will lead strategy and execution for campaigns to win support for key client initiatives and advise and guide clients on crises and heightened moments.

This person will work with large corporations and organizations on their online positioning and executive leadership and oversee online awareness and organizing efforts for high-stakes local issues and legislative efforts at the city, state and national levels.

This candidate will have knowledge and experience marshaling client goals through city, state and national legislative approvals and a deep understanding of digital positioning and persuasion efforts at the grassroots level.

The Vice President will provide management and leadership to our growing digital teams and be supported by a strong roster of account, creative, social media and advertising staff.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y., or Washington, D.C. offices on a hybrid basis. Digital team members are in-office between 1 – 3 days per week on average. Proof of vaccination is required to work in any of BerlinRosen’s offices.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

As a Vice President of Public Affairs, you will…

  • Design and implement 360° strategies for clients working through complex organizational, political and legislative challenges
  • Advise clients on the digital landscape during major moments, including crisis situations
  • Lead strategic conversations and manage plans that help our talented team thrive while delivering top-notch results for our clients
  • Help our practice win new business and proactively expand our relationships with existing clients

Essential skills:

  • 8+ years of experience managing large-scale digital and public affairs campaigns, preferably at an agency, or in-house at a fast-paced organization or company
  • Tracks and follows news and happenings in industries including finance, technology, legislative policy and elections
  • Thoroughly understands digital organizing and communications, including email, SMS influencer and social media campaigning
  • Tactically familiar with most aspects of digital campaigns, including social media, online advertising, email marketing, mobile strategy, digital analytics, web video, social listening and web design
  • Experience managing innovative and impactful video, web and social media design projects
  • Enjoys managing people with a demonstrated ability to successfully motivate, manage and mentor a team to meet objectives
  • Strong writing skills with extensive experience developing sharp, compelling online content

WORKING AT BERLINROSEN

Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:

  • Starting minimum: $130,000
  • Role cap: $170,000

Vice Presidents are eligible for end-of-year bonuses based on firm, team, and individual performance.
