Job Summary
Advance Comcast’s legislative, regulatory and network expansion goals at the local level. Partner with the field organization, corporate and state government affairs, business units and other departments to ensure continuing compliance with all regulatory, legal, and policy guidelines. Manage local legislative, regulatory and communications process of all local activity. Serve in a management role with professional and administrative staff comprising Government Affairs team.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support at all levels of Comcast management to ensure consistent and sound government and regulatory policy; as well as ensuring compliance with local, state and federal requirements and mandates;
- Oversee franchise compliance, local legislative activity, communications coordination, and campaign activity;
- Close coordination and collaboration with the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for the Division as well Manager of Regulatory Affairs;
- Daily engagement with Senior Director of Community Affairs to ensure Local and State Government Affairs teams are current with the latest CI efforts;
- Constant communication with the Public Relations team to ensure there is Government Affairs involvement in our communications strategy;
- Collaboration with professional team that manages legal process for MDU contracts, easements, railroad crossings, pole attachment agreements
- Assisting in the development and management of the Division Government Affairs budget;
- Perform duties inherent in all supervisory, professional and administrative positions;
- Provide guidance to GA Consultants to ensure that they are working to meet policy goals and support for the GA team;
- Maintain a working knowledge of local, federal, and state regulatory practices in order to appropriately advise direction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key government representatives and regulators at the Local level;
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
