Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and draft reports, talking points, and policy positions relating to 340B including analysis of public datasets, member data, data derived pursuant to Freedom of Information Act requests, interviews and case studies to demonstrate the value of the 340B program, assess the impact of policy change, defend the program against external threats, and educate members and the public, among other purposes
Lead 340B membership surveys (3-7 per year), including drafting survey tool, obtaining feedback from staff and members, fielding survey, analyzing results, and drafting reports
Manage work conducted by outside researchers, including development of written reports and preparation of charts and graphs
Present and assist with planning and identifying speakers and content for conferences, webinars, and other educational events
Oversee research budget
Oversee 1-2 staff dedicated to the research department as well as outside vendors
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or higher in public health, healthcare administration, public policy, economics required
15 years’ experience conducting public health, health services, or public policy research
Skills and Abilities:
Mathematical, statistical, and reasoning ability
Experience with health policy, knowledge of hospital and pharmaceutical markets are a plus
Skilled in data analytics including advanced knowledge of Excel; proficiency in SAS is a plus
Demonstrated writing skills and attention to detail
Commitment to meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work product
Proven organizational and communications skills
Collaborates well in a team environment
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Experience using Microsoft Office suite
Other Pertinent Information:
Staff are currently required to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, Monday – Wednesday, and other days as needed
