  • Build a simple, repeatable and compelling narrative (Story Platform) around .org’s impact for clients and society. Narrative to span all .org impact industries and communities as well as feed into Salesforce’s corporate “Stakeholder Capitalism” narrative.

    • Create a narrative framework that has tight top-line messaging and then sub-messaging for various audiences (nonprofit, education, philanthropy), tying product impact to thought leadership positioning across all regions

    • With communications team, make sure all public facing materials are updated and all spokespeople are trained with the new message

    • Create a one (eventually five) year public affairs strategy around .org impact with key messages, audiences and deliverables identified as well as ways to measure impact on growth and brand.

  • Responsible for internal and external corporate narratives for .Org Executives (e.g. CEO). This includes long-form thought leadership to talking points (scripts) and spans the following topics: vision, industry predictions, digital imperative, policy, social impact, and customer success. This includes “tactical writing” for all internal comms and CEO social handles.

    • Lead team of writers and storytellers to make Story Platforms a practice across .org with key launch and iterative moments aligned with our selling motion (SKO, releases, etc.) and timely/relevant “headline” trends.

    • Act as a .org spokesperson at external events and through .org content like blog posts and podcasts.

  • Drive an internal roadshow with new messaging and public affairs strategy to relevant .com teams (i.e. Corporate comms, Marketing, Thought Leadership, Government Affairs) and partner with .com teams on external opportunities to deliver key .org narratives.

  • Build an external affairs plan to tout the impact of .org and, over time, .com in one simple story that builds from core product to thought leadership initiatives to stakeholder capitalism.

  • Drive a cohesive vision for’s (.Org) global impact. This includes collaborating with .Org’s Global Impact Engagement Team, responsible for the measurement and reporting of the business unit’s social value as well as building industry best-practices.

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in communications at a high tech company, or similar. MBA a plus, but not required.

  • Track-record working across government entities, corporate impact (social responsibility, sustainability), media, and strategic communications.  

  • Proven experience leading a high-functioning team in a fast-paced environment focused on high growth.

  • Proven ability to influence senior cross-functional teams and align both vision and values as well as drive seamless internal/external deliverables.

  • Dynamic, confident personality with ability to successfully define and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals.

  • Proven track record of speaking in front of internal, external, and global audiences.

  • Creative thinker that can generate innovative ideas and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.

  • Strong skills in communication, presenting, writing and ability to work well cross-functionally.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
