About the role
In our highly regulated sector, we need a committed government relations leader who is a strong operator, experienced in building, and executing major advocacy campaigns, coalition building, and policy formation.
Are you a leader of leaders driven to build a better real estate experience? Your skill in crafting, articulating, and ultimately delivering on a strategic vision, will deepen your team’s, and Zillow’s success.
You’ll lead all aspects of budget, planning and campaign / program reporting. Cultivate high potential partner relationships, particularly with senior levels within government or large organizations.You will be respected as a trusted advisor by the Company’s senior executive team.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
Who you are
- 15 years of progressive success running and scaling a national/global government relations or advocacy team – experience in technology, real estate, financial services, lending a plus.
- Quantified examples of thought partnership that moved the needle in a regulated space.
- Strong understanding of effective public policy, political advocacy, public affairs programs, coalition building and grassroots campaign management.
- Experience providing expertise and advice to the leaders in local, county and state government.
- Extreme attention to detail, allowing you to think big, and adapt quickly.
- A focus on efficient and optimal assessment of opportunities, threats, and prioritization of that focus.
- An ability to see around the corner, analyze, and communicate trends, threats and opportunities that could impact the company and its business lines.
- A gift for providing clarity from ambiguity and aiming for action through consensus.
- Bachelor’s degree. JD preferred.
