The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (HSC) is one of the nation’s distinguished graduate academic health science centers, dedicated to education, research, clinical care and community engagement. In the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District on a 33-acre campus, the HSC is located immediately adjacent to several museums (Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Kimbell Art Museum, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, National Cowgirl Museum, and others) and the Will Rogers Coliseum. The HSC campus consists of 1.4 million square feet of facilities housing lecture halls, training rooms, patient care facilities and research labs. HSC is composed of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Professions, School of Public Health, and College of Pharmacy.

Salary Information Commensurate with experience
Leading from our values, the VP of Marketing & Communications is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the overall planning, development, and implementation of the University’s internal and external, marketing, branding, media relations, communications and crisis management efforts to support the University’s mission, goals, and institutional capabilities and accomplishments. This is a leadership role, working with the President and other University leaders in the development of strategic initiatives related to the University’s marketing objectives, including supporting the University’s strategic plan and roadmap. This role will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence in all areas of marketing and communications.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
At least ten (10) years of senior-level management experience directing strategic marketing and communications, with a successful track record of designing and implementing integrated branding, marketing, and communication strategies, including traditional, digital, and social media.
At least seven (7) years of direct management experience with demonstrated success leading and motivating teams as well as managing cross-functional teams.
Master’s degree in marketing, communications, business, public affairs, or a related field, from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated higher education experience in external relations and communications, or a similar field.
Knowledge of corporate communication.
