The Foundation for Public Affairs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research and educational foundation affiliated with the Public Affairs Council. Its mission is to conduct research on emerging public policy issues and trends that affect the practice of public affairs and organizations' ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment.
 

Each year, the Foundation produces publications on emerging issues and challenges for public affairs practitioners. In 2011, it published studies on managing public affairs in Brazil, the use of social media sites and their impact on public affairs and an in-depth update on the state of corporate public affairs.

 

The Foundation's 2012 research agenda includes reports on managing government relations in Russia (the final report in its series on the BRIC countries) and the relationship between corporate social responsibility and government relations.
