Essential Functions

  1. Policy Development and Strategy Formulation
    • Collaborate with NAB Board Members, DC Representatives, and stakeholders in the telecom/tech policy space.
    • Formulate policy positions and strategies to advocate for the broadcast industry’s interests.
  2. Internal Communications
    • Draft internal communications for NAB departments and member companies.
    • Provide written summaries of policy issues, updates on legislative strategies, and power point presentations.
  3. Advocacy Document Drafting
    • Create advocacy documents such as talking points, issue sheets, and white papers.
    • Draft and redline legislative text and related materials.
  4. Hearing Preparation
    • Assist in congressional and executive branch hearing preparation.
    • Draft witness testimony, mock questions, and relevant issues papers.
  5. Government Relations Support
    • Support the Government Relations team in meetings with Congress members, the Administration, and staff.
    • Address substantive elements of broadcast policy issues.
  6. Advocacy Coordination
    • Coordinate with the advocacy team to engage third-party groups supporting NAB advocacy.
  7. Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • 10-13 years of related experience.

  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.
