The Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM), is seeking a Director of Communications to join its team. This is an invaluable opportunity to work at a dynamic, growing trade association at the center of some of the most important public policy issues facing our nation. The working environment is high-energy, fast-paced and the culture is entrepreneurial.

This position provides an opportunity to create media and communications strategies that advance the goals of the association and its advocacy priorities. The association is placing a greater emphasis on effective story-telling to heighten its visibility and increase its share of voice. This position will be at the forefront of this effort.

Candidates will need to create and maintain relationships with journalists and other influencers. Another goal for the association is to increase the number of spokespeople speaking on behalf of the industry. Building that capacity internally at the association and externally among the member companies is a priority.

Candidates need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, e.g. Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English and 5+ year of professional experience in the field of Communications.  Experience in a health care related, pharmaceutical or Association setting is highly desirable.
