ATA is a non-profit, membership organization representing professionals, organizations and industry in providing remote healthcare. Public policy interests cover a broad range of legislative and regulatory issues in health care and telecommunications. This position must have a good understanding of health policy. Responsibilities
- Federal level advocacy, under the direct supervision of the ATA CEO, including preparation/facilitation of member and federal government communications, networking and collaboration.
- Management and coordination of coalitions composed of representatives from various other organizations, and participation in similar groups
- Representation of ATA with government staff and elected officials including providing information, gathering information and sharing ATA perspectives and priorities.
- Monitoring and reporting on federal level legislative and regulatory processes
- Preparing content concerning national/federal oriented affairs for distribution to members and other groups, as directed
- Assist in the planning, preparing and carrying out of ATA communication activities.
- Assist in the monitoring of various federal and state legislative issues.
- Assist in special projects as needed
Supervision Received - Incumbent is required to act independently displaying sound judgment on a day-to-day basis while keeping the ATA CEO fully informed of all relevant activities and discussions taking place. Supervision is generally limited to evaluation of performance and final review/evaluation of major project results and pending implementation or evaluation of proposed programs, projects or services.
