The Manager of Corporate Communications – RapidScale
This person serves as a business partner and influential communication advisor to the company’s senior leaders, management, and employees. From the news of the day to narratives about business priorities, the Manager of Corporate Communications is responsible for building and deploying communication strategies to inform and inspire associates.
The ideal candidate will be a proven:
- Business-focused employee communication advisor: A strategic thinker who creates strong, ongoing relationships with multiple internal customers, becoming their trusted partner and influential advisor on communication issues and delivering strategic communications that drive results for the business.
- Passionate team player: With a supportive and inclusive style, the ability to achieve optimal performance and a proven track record of fostering collaboration.
- Functional expert: With experience using and building best-in-class processes, policies, guides tools, and templates to ensure overall consistency and functional excellence. Proven experience in and passion for both traditional and new media channels.
- Results-driven leader: With a proven ability to establish and manage communication measurements and effectiveness reports that ensure optimal team performance, superior business results, and high customer and employee satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic relationship manager responsible for consulting broadly and strategically with internal customers (RapidScale Executive leaders) and providing ongoing communication counsel as well as execution to the members of the leadership team.
- Assess internal customers’ current communication state, probe for underlying business problems, and develop creative communication plans to enhance employee engagement, ensure effective, two-way communications between the company and employees, and drive greater results for the business.
- Serve as a project manager for communication programs and plans for assigned client set, collaborating and partnering with other departments across the organization to deliver integrated and comprehensive communication plans.
- Develop communications plans and campaigns that help employees navigate organizational change, foster a winning culture, and drive greater company pride and engagement. A primary goal is to help employees connect the work they do to the company’s strategy and align their efforts accordingly. Proven experience in social and new media channels and plus.
- Plan communications and craft messages that are engaging, accurate, concise, and tailored to the author, vehicle, and audience. Write in a variety of styles and formats. Develop engaging, grammatically correct content that reinforces the company’s vision and brand promise, operating plans, and value proposition.
- Work with colleagues at all levels of RapidScale to connect communication plans from across the organization to form a holistic, integrated, organization-wide communication plan.
- Establish, manage, measure, and report on the effectiveness of internal communication programs to ensure optimal customer and employee satisfaction as well as overall functional excellence.
- Work in partnership with other internal or external resources to produce compelling collateral to support all communications needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field
Preferred:
- Exceptional customer relationship, consulting, and strategic communication experience.

- Superior customer service, interpersonal, and relationship skills.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Superior writing skills.
- Creative.
- Ability to demonstrate value.
