Director of Women in Motion Council

We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to serve as the Director of Women in Motion Council, a pivotal role dedicated to advancing gender diversity, inclusion, and professional development within the trucking industry. Reporting to the VP of Industry Affairs, the Director will lead and coordinate the activities of ATA’s newest council, focusing on empowering women professionals and driving positive change within the sector.

Core Functions:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Women In Motion Council, ensuring alignment with ATA’s mission and goals.
  • Facilitate council meetings, manage agendas, and promote active participation and collaboration among members.
  • Design and execute initiatives promoting gender diversity, equity, and inclusion within the trucking industry.
  • Plan and oversee workshops, events, mentorship programs, and other activities supporting women’s professional growth.
  • Serve as a liaison between the council and ATA leadership, advocating for women’s representation and advancement.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders and partner organizations to amplify the council’s impact and influence.
  • Cultivate relationships with external organizations and educational institutions to enhance the council’s initiatives and resources.
  • Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of the council’s programs and initiatives.
  • Assess progress, gather feedback, and refine strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with the communication team to promote the council’s initiatives and accomplishments.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in diversity and inclusion or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of gender diversity best practices within the workplace.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of driving initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker committed to developing innovative approaches to promote gender diversity and inclusivity.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms, social media, and virtual collaboration tools.
