Woodberry Associates seeks a Senior Director to manage health care non-profit advocacy programming.

Title: Senior Director

What You Do

  • Serve as the account director for multiple non-profits engaged in policy advocacy.
  • Oversee and execute all aspects of the day-to-day management of non-profit client(s), including:
    • Liaise with sponsors and donors.
    • Oversee governance.
    • Develop and implement dynamic programs and initiatives that drive the clients’ missions, such as:
      • Awareness campaigns
      • Social media campaigns
      • Thought leadership projects
      • Surveys and studies
      • Educational programs.
    • Engage members and other allied stakeholders through communications, programs, initiatives, and events to advance the non-profit’s missions.
    • Direct internal and external communications, including digital communications.
    • Support the creation of advocacy resources that support the non-profit’s mission, initiatives, and programs.
    • Plan and execute events (national, regional, and international), such as webinars, policy roundtables, and summits.
    • Represent the non-profit at meetings and conferences domestically and internationally.

Your Skills

  • 8+ years of experience working in nonprofit management, public affairs, campaigns, or advocacy.
  • High energy with a strong ability to manage multiple projects at once and balance competing priorities.
  • A quick study who can distill complex issues.
  • Get-it-done attitude and desire to work hard and smart, with a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure success.
  • Attitude of initiative, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing junior team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence to lead.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Spanish language fluency desired.

Salary & Benefits

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Washington, DC with health insurance, 401(k), and an unlimited PTO policy. Candidates must be willing and able to be in person in downtown Washington, DC Monday through Thursday.
Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000
