Public Relations Manager / Senior Public Relations Manager

The Public Relations Manager/Senior Public Relations Manager will drive strategy, planning, and execution of corporate PR programs and initiatives, in addition to managing security-related issues and crisis across the business.

Description

In this role, you will drive strategy, planning, and execution of major corporate PR programs and initiatives. Responsibilities will include creating and managing PR programs with policy, technology, consumer, broadcast, and general business press; partnering with product marketing and other relevant stakeholders to develop messaging and competitive analysis; and handling crisis communication issues with a focus on managing a message within an hourly news cycle. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic as well as a passion for technology, IT security, and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in Public Relations, agency or corporate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to quickly analyze traditional and social media coverage and sentiment, see around corners, and apply insights to the team’s work
  • Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and public speaking skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Strong media relations experience
  • Hard-working, with a positive team-player attitude and a passion for consumer technology
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, and willingness to dig in quickly on projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment
  • Natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
  • Highly adaptable and works well under pressure, with proven experience working on complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects
  • Experience with academic and highly technical research, data incident response or issues management, and the general concepts of device and platform security is a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,400 and $242,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
