Summary
Full-time in-house legal position required to provide support to the Legal Department. This position will primarily focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation for all functional areas of the organization with a focus on Data Privacy, Marketing, Public Policy, Advancement, Events, Campaigns, and Patient Services. Other projects include oversight of intellectual property matters, some litigation, drafting and providing feedback on organizational policies from a legal and risk management perspective.

Work Environment
While employees may be permitted to work remotely, travel to the assigned office, HUB, or Satellite Offices may be required as determined by the employee’s manager and the employee’s People Organization Generalist.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contract review and drafting in a variety of areas as described above.
- Anticipating and mitigating potential legal problems within the organization and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk.
- Support initiatives of Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel as assigned.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote Organizational initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Juris doctor (JD) (New York State admission preferred)
- 3-8 years of experience working at a law firm or another corporate legal department (in-house legal department experience preferred).
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
- Average salary range is $95,200 – $136,965, open to further discussion based on geography.
