Who You Are
We’re looking for an experienced Influencer Marketing Strategy Lead who is passionate about their craft and eager to work with one of the biggest global brands. You are a leader in the influencer space, with a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of co-creation. Your expertise in influencer marketing is matched by your ability to manage clients and accounts with precision. You’ve successfully helped major brands grow in the Creator Age, particularly within agency settings, across various industries and growth stages.
You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and are adaptable to changing briefs, always steering the conversation toward clarity and cohesion. You’re ahead of the curve when it comes to brand-building trends, constantly pushing clients and teams to innovate. Comfortable managing both senior clients and junior strategists, you have a balanced approach that blends creativity with data-driven insights. You’re equally excited about collaborating with creative teams and diving into analytics, ensuring every campaign is as strategic as it is impactful.
What You’ll Do
- Lead our largest influencer marketing client, navigating relationships from high-level celebrity talent to micro-influencers, ensuring seamless execution, innovative creative, and measurable impact across campaigns.
- Oversee and manage a multidisciplinary team of influencer strategists that are also contract negotiators, account leads, and managers, ensuring smooth operations, timely delivery, and top-tier results.
- Drive strategic development and implementation of influencer-specific frameworks, with a clear distinction between social media strategy and influencer strategy, ensuring each campaign leverages the right approach for maximum brand impact.
- Oversee influencer contract negotiations, managing risks and ensuring favorable outcomes for both talent and clients, while maintaining compliance and brand integrity.
- Serve as a senior lead in managing complex, high-stakes conversations with talent, clients, and partners, providing clarity and direction during challenging negotiations or crises.
- Be the expert voice on influencer marketing integration with broader social, PR, and brand strategies, ensuring cohesive and innovative cross-channel programs.
- Take point on strategic and account deliverables, including scopes of work, staffing plans, and influencer program development, with a focus on delivering measurable, high-impact results.
- Lead and mentor senior team members across influencer strategy, talent management, and account teams, ensuring they are equipped to navigate high-profile relationships and deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with senior clients, providing trusted counsel on influencer marketing risks, opportunities, and innovations, while proactively identifying new strategies for client success.
- Collaborate with creative leaders and the broader community to ensure influencer-led campaigns are bold, strategically sound, and creatively inspiring.
- Be an active contributor to global thought leadership on influencer marketing, leveraging insights and best practices to inform innovative approaches and future-proof the agency’s offerings.
- Lead strategic conversations with senior leadership, guiding discussions around staffing, scoping, and resource allocation to ensure optimal delivery of influencer campaigns.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite clients, consistently recommending new influencer marketing opportunities and offerings that drive business growth and enhance the client’s competitive edge.
- Play a key role in shaping the future of the influencer and social capabilities at Ogilvy, helping to define the vision and offerings that will lead the industry.
What You’ll Need
- 10–15 years of experience with a strong emphasis on influencer marketing, talent management, and contract negotiation.
- Proven experience in influencer strategy, talent engagement, and influencer-led campaign development.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with top-tier talent and creative teams to deliver innovative influencer-driven content.
- Recognized thought leadership in influencer marketing, with a deep understanding of emerging trends and influencer behavior.
- Proven track record of building and growing senior-level client relationships and expanding influencer marketing business.
- Experience managing teams of influencer strategists, talent negotiators, and cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in working with media experts to align influencer strategies with paid and earned media opportunities.
- Deep knowledge of influencer platforms, social media specs, and talent management tools.
- Strong understanding of the influencer marketing landscape and the ability to navigate relationships across celebrity, macro, and micro influencers.
- Willingness to innovate and continuously evolve influencer strategies based on industry shifts and new platform capabilities.
- Experience working in large agency environments, driving influencer campaigns for major brands.
- Ability to juggle multiple high-priority influencer partnerships and campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to guide influencer strategy and measure campaign effectiveness.
- A forward-thinking mindset to anticipate shifts in influencer marketing and adapt strategies to stay ahead of trends.
