Total Wine & More is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Internal Communications to join our growing Store Operations team in our Bethesda, MD office. The individual will manage all aspects of the internal communications team. You will manage internal, external, and crisis communication as well as support executive leadership with content creation for speaking engagements and presentations. This position will oversee internal communication channels, including internal SharePoint sites, digital screens, and email communication. This role will be managing various internal meetings such as leadership meetings and the company’s annual meeting. You will report to the VP of Training, Events & Communications.
You Will
- Manage a comprehensive and consistent internal communication strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and engages team members.
- Communicate effectively through various mediums and customize content to reach different audiences; leverage innovation to try new tools and ways to connect our team with our leaders and business goals.
- Manage first-hand the creation of various content with a strong focus on using PowerPoint as a communication vehicle.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand communication needs and tailor accordingly.
- Supervise communication professionals and their efforts to maintain and enhance internal channels (SharePoint sites, digital screens, weekly digital newsletter, content calendar).
- Work closely with senior leadership to craft key messages and announcements.
- Create compelling content for internal communication channels, including emails, video messages, and executive presentations utilizing various mediums and design platforms.
- Lead the development and execution of quarterly leadership meetings, including quarterly business updates and the company’s annual meeting.
- Design and execute executive communication strategy for the CEO and other C-suite executives that aligns with business strategy and messaging directives.
You Will Come With
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, or similar study.
- 7+ years of experience in corporate/internal communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in leading and developing teams.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- A strategic thinker who can align communication efforts with overall business goals and adapt to evolving organizational needs.
- Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, including SharePoint, Microsoft collaboration tools, and multimedia software.
- Working knowledge of design concepts (basic experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Ability to problem-solve and execute deliverables within dynamic, fast-paced timelines.

- The exempt compensation range for this position is $119,250 to $204,400.
- Compensation may vary based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
