Social Media Manager – Freelance or Full-Time

Cashman & Associates, an award-winning full-service communications and marketing firm, is seeking a freelance or full-time Social Media Manager. If you are enthusiastic, driven, creative, and crave the non-stop world of social media, we would love to hear from you!

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated social media marketing experience with a proven ability to manage up to 6 brand accounts at a time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of social media advertising best practices including Facebook Business Manager.
  • Must submit links to at least three (3) client social media profiles currently managed OR three (3) examples/case studies of past client profiles with notes on key performance metrics.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of consumer/lifestyle marketing and the role of social media in the industry.
  • Experience producing content for social media, with channel-specific knowledge (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
  • Proven experience building online audiences.
  • Experience in B2C social media marketing (B2B a plus) with examples of successful campaigns that increased followers and engagement.
  • Budget management, cross-platform spending, and post-campaign expenditure reporting experience.
  • Expertise with Facebook ads and Facebook Business Manager.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, able to use both data and intuition for decisions.
  • Ability to analyze data and suggest actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with follow-through capability.
  • Comfortable communicating with senior leadership and C-suite executives.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, positive, and a self-starter.
  • Ability to proofread and mentor junior team members on best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
  • Strategic thinker with execution skills and deadline accountability.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel for events.
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency; photo and video editing a plus.
  • Photography experience and original creative content skills.
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social required.
  • Ability to produce live, on-brand content (Instagram Stories, Facebook Live, etc.).
  • Experience planning and producing client photoshoots.

Social Media Manager Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with content creators to execute strategy for 4–5 clients.
  • Produce monthly or quarterly content calendars for multiple clients.
  • Create strategic content for all social platforms (copywriting, imagery, etc.).
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize social media ad campaigns.
  • Forecast and execute cross-network promotions and campaigns.
  • Monitor analytics and deliver optimization recommendations to meet KPIs.
  • Provide regular performance updates to supervisors and clients.
  • Respond to client emails and requests promptly and accurately.
  • Manage the agency’s social platforms with a mix of client and lifestyle content.
  • Work with account executives to align social strategy with overall PR/marketing.
  • Respond to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram messages promptly and personally.
  • Maintain appropriate brand voice and visual identity per account.
  • Plan cohesive Instagram grids with consistent visual themes.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and research new opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with key regional social influencers for each client.
