Who are we hiring?

The Senior Manager, Government Affairs & Social Impact will support the company’s legislative policy agenda and social impact initiatives. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with members of all departments within the company to ensure that appropriate actions are taken on key government initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Assist EVP in running corporate PAC and superPAC, including compliance duties and working with outside campaign consultants
  • Support EVP, SVP and VP to develop action plans and legislative solutions for issues impacting company projects
  • Analyze proposed legislation and coordinate with internal stakeholders to address problematic provisions identified in the bills
  • Develop strong relationships with state and local government officials, state agencies, and relevant legislative and agency staff
  • Assist EVP and SVP in communicating to internal stakeholders by preparing regular reports, briefings and assorted written work product
  • Draft and proofread letters, memos, briefings, one-pagers, bios, presentations, charts, reports, summaries and other documents for internal and external distribution
  • Monitor the company’s governmental landscape and identify issues relevant to the company
  • Work closely with and direct outside consultants
  • Support the Company’s social impact initiatives, including but not limited to production of the bi-annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report and production of in-arena and in-community events
  • Support the production and management of the company’s annual large scale social impact initiatives
  • Represent the company in meetings and events of trade associations and other relevant organizations

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, political advocacy, or lobbying, including at least two years in New York City and/or New York State government
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a creative, collaborative approach
  • Ability to work effectively across political ideologies, organizational levels, and both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and online research tools

Special Requirements:

  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed

Pay Range

$96,000—$145,000 USD
