## About This Role
Climate Power is seeking a highly motivated Director to support the organization’s clean energy economy campaigns. The Director will report to the Senior Advisor, Clean Energy Economy, and work with key stakeholders across the organization to help protect and expand clean energy policy progress, fighting back attacks and elevating the benefits to build power for future policy wins.

## Responsibilities
– **Daily operations** — Manage daily operations and long‑term projects for Climate Power’s Clean Energy Economy Campaigns, and direct daily workflow for campaign staff and allies
– **Budget management** — Manage the Clean Energy Economy campaign’s budget
– **Project management** — Lead project management across teams for Climate Power’s clean energy campaign, including managing organization‑wide plans around key moments and rollouts and identifying political opportunities for rapid response and long‑term narrative‑building
– **Narrative building** — Lead project management for long‑term narrative‑building campaigns related to energy affordability, utility bills, and AI & data centers
– **Research analysis** — Analyze Climate Power’s original research to identify applications for campaign strategy
– **Internal coordination** — Lead Climate Power’s work internally with the Senior Advisor to ensure that key opposition narratives, products, and research are utilized across the organization and by external donors, partners, and stakeholders
– **Drafting materials** — Draft talking points, memos, partner updates, and other materials as assigned
– **Project development** — Initiate, conceive, develop, and implement new projects
– **Communications support** — Assist Senior Advisor in communications interactions and products, including op‑eds and reporter engagements; represent Climate Power with external partners as needed
– **Consultant management** — Manage team of consultants, including overseeing external Business and Labor partner relationships and coalition meetings
– **Debrief leadership** — Lead debrief processes on major campaign projects by soliciting staff feedback and synthesizing recommendations
– **Partner outreach** — Track, maintain, and spearhead outreach efforts to political and advocacy partners
– **Additional duties** — Additional responsibilities may be assigned as need and capacity dictate.

## Essential Qualifications
– **Relevant experience** — 7 years of relevant prior work experience in political partnerships, organizing, or communications
– **Management experience** — 3 years of people and/or project management experience
– **Collaboration** — Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups, communities, and partners
– **Communication** — Ability to communicate information clearly and compellingly verbally, graphically, or in writing
– **Organization** — Strong organizational skills, detail‑oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
– **Professional development** — Willingness to stay up to date on best practices and trends
– **Writing skills** — Strong strategic and writing skills
– **Technical proficiency** — Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and content management systems

Climate Power offers a competitive compensation package tied directly to years of experience. Years of experience determine placement within the salary range. Salaries are non‑negotiable and not impacted by merit‑based evaluations.

## Location & Hours of Operations
Climate Power is a remote‑first organization based in Washington, DC. This position can be located anywhere in the United States but must be able to work Monday–Friday, 9 am–6 pm EST, plus weekends and evenings as needed. Occasional travel (3–4 times per year) is required.

## Our Hiring Timeline and Process
