Perform final QA checks on links, targeting, brand, accessibility, and compliance.

Content and advocacy support:

Draft and edit clear, persuasive content for multiple channels: action alerts, emails, social copy, talking points, op-ed support and other deliverables aligned to client positions and voice.

Collaborate with internal and state teams on content themes and localized messaging needs.

Assist with basic creative edits and provide input on client assets.

Platform execution:

Set up and schedule emails; configure forms and advocacy actions; update action centers and campaign pages.

Build/maintain audience lists and tagging; coordinate with teams to monitor deliverability.

Support paid and organic social strategy execution across platforms.

Measurement and optimization:

Pull weekly/monthly performance metrics across channels; maintain dashboards and contribute to reporting narratives.

Recommend test plans (subject lines, CTAs, segments) and document learnings for continuous improvement.

Team contribution:

Proactively identify process improvements that increase quality, speed, and client experience.

Support creation of case studies and recap documents highlighting impact and outcomes.

Model DDC’s collaborative culture and build strong relationships across teams.

What you’ll bring
2–3 years of experience in public affairs, communications, or other policy-related fields.

Strong writing and editing skills; able to craft audience-specific, on-message content.

Detail-oriented project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Comfort with analytics basics: pulling data, ensuring accuracy, and suggesting practical next steps.

Familiarity with CRMs; eagerness to learn DDC tools and processes.

Proactive communication skills, a solutions mindset and a strong willingness to solve problems.

Nice-to-haves
Exposure to government relations, grassroots mobilization, corporate affairs, or political communications.

Experience with audience segmentation, deliverability basics, and A/B testing.

Spreadsheet proficiency and basic design familiarity (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
