ACEC Advocacy Coordinator Position

ACEC is seeking a self-motivated professional as our Advocacy Coordinator. As an integral member of our Advocacy team, the Advocacy Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and organizational support for the Advocacy Department, ACEC/PAC, and related political programs. You must have a proactive approach to getting things done, be customer-centric, and able to manage multiple deadlines. To perform successfully in this role, our ideal candidate is a personable problem-solver who is comfortable learning task-specific software.

Duties:

  1. Maintain PAC records and provide administrative support for ACEC/PAC staff.
  2. Provide support to the Executive Vice President and the lobbying staff on advocacy issues, grassroots engagement, and maintenance and updates to congressional scorecards.
  3. Support the Advocacy staff in the planning and execution of the committee meetings throughout the year.
  4. Maintain the Advocacy portion of the website.
  5. Work with the Executive Vice President to prepare and file lobbying disclosure and other compliance documents.
  6. Provide organizational support for Advocacy functions at the ACEC Annual Convention including tracking Congressional Hill visits, communicating with state coordinators, and facilitating issue briefing material production.
  7. Assist the VP of Political Affairs with execution of ACEC political events.
  8. Some travel and work outside of business hours required.

Qualifications:

Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint with competency in other Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience in US government or American politics is a plus.
