Position Description
Director, Technology Innovation & Transformation
Responsibilities include:
- Developing strategies to implement and leverage emerging technologies, including generative AI, across the company’s Communications function.
- Creating strategies for internal and external communications and thought leadership to advance 21st-century security priorities, technology innovation, and transformation.
- Overseeing critical enablement tools for the Communications function, such as performance measurement and reporting, the annual communications strategy framework, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Serving as a senior advisor to the Chief Communications Officer and Communications Senior Leadership Team.
- Designing and implementing transformation initiatives to advance ongoing development of Lockheed Martin’s Communications Function.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications with a minimum of 15 years of communications experience, including public relations, executive communications, integrated communications, and corporate communications. Master’s degree preferred.
- Leadership roles in aerospace/defense and publicly traded companies preferred.
- Experience transforming communications functions through emerging best practices and tools, including comprehensive communications measurement programs.
- Expertise in implementing generative AI for communications applications and workflow efficiencies.
- Ability to build new capabilities and integrate tools, gaining trust among executives and inspiring new ways of working across Communications teams.
- Experience leading through influence in a matrixed, geographically distributed environment.
- Proficiency in translating corporate technology milestones, including AI, into storytelling opportunities that positively promote the organization’s thought leadership and reputation.
- Proven expertise in crisis communications, including enterprise-wide responses to crises and playbooks.
- Experience designing and implementing communications strategies aligned with corporate strategy.
- Expertise in mass communications to promote emerging technologies.
- Ability to travel as required.

Additional Information
Clearance Level: None
Remote Work: Part-time remote telework; the specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Flexible schedules, including 4×10 hour days with three days off per week, are supported.
Pay Rate: Annual base salary range for select states: $180,000 – $300,000. Salary will reflect the candidate’s work location.
