The Communications Specialist plays a vital role in our global communication operations efforts. This role will manage day-to-day tasks such as message deployment, content publishing, and platform coordination, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support broader communications strategies. The ideal candidate brings a passion for communications and technology along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to help deliver clear, consistent, and engaging messages across ResMed’s internal channels.
Responsibilities
- Format, test, and deploy global internal communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Outlook, ensuring messages are consistent, effective, and visually aligned with brand standards.
- Manage the global editorial calendar in Asana by tracking campaign timelines, maintaining updates, and coordinating scheduling across internal communications teams.
- Publish and update content on our SharePoint-based intranet platform in alignment with internal brand and accessibility standards.
- Provide hands-on support to intranet content owners, sharing guidance and best practices to ensure a high-quality user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing improvements to the intranet, contributing to enhancements that increase engagement, consistency, and usability.
- Communicate regularly with intranet content owners and admins, providing clear written guidance, updates, and resources to support effective content publishing and alignment with intranet standards.
- Coordinate content for digital signage across ResMed locations by uploading, scheduling, and monitoring updates to ensure accuracy, clarity, and visual appeal.
- Partner with team members to streamline digital signage submissions and maintain alignment with branding and messaging guidelines.
- Help monitor, audit, and maintain ResMed Engage communities to ensure content remains relevant, current, and aligned with company policies.
- Support efforts to increase visibility and engagement within Engage by recommending enhancements or content improvements.
- Gather and organize performance metrics from communications platforms—including email, intranet, and Engage—to support internal reporting and inform communication strategies.
- Assist in maintaining internal distribution lists in partnership with IT and regional stakeholders to help ensure accurate message targeting.
- Support project coordination efforts by helping track timelines, milestones, and deliverables for key communications initiatives.
- Perform other communications operations tasks and team support activities as needed.
Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a communications support or operations role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience using Asana or other project management tools is a plus.
- Proficiency with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SharePoint, and Viva Engage is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an understanding of content presentation.
Work Environment Requirements
- Travel is less than 10%.
- Must be able to use keyboards and sit for prolonged periods of time.
