Digital Content and Social Media Manager Opportunity at ITIF

The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) is hiring a digital content and social media manager to collaborate with ITIF’s communications team and policy analysts. This role involves creating and disseminating digital content to promote ITIF’s policy research, market public events, and expand social media presence. The ideal candidate should be an excellent writer, communicator, and have a keen interest in public policy and government.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaboration: Partner with the communications team and ITIF policy analysts to execute a digital content and social media program showcasing ITIF’s policy publications, podcasts, events, and expertise.
  2. Social Media Management: Compose concise, engaging social media posts capturing key messages, big ideas, and policy recommendations from ITIF publications. Monitor trending tech policy issues and strategically engage with policy thought leaders on platforms like Twitter (X), LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Post, and emerging platforms.
  3. Content Creation: Produce short videos, capture photographs at ITIF events, and create other digital content to enhance social media engagement.
  4. Newsletter Compilation: Work with the communications team to compile ITIF’s widely disseminated weekly email newsletter.
  5. Collateral Materials: Collaborate with ITIF’s digital communications manager on collateral materials and website updates.
  6. Metrics and Reporting: Track digital communications performance metrics and provide regular reports for staff and ITIF’s board.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ professional experience in digital communications.
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing digital communications tasks.
  • Practical experience using social media to raise organizational profile; engagement with public policy issues preferred.
  • Outstanding writing and copyediting skills.
  • Hands-on experience with graphic design platforms such as Canva.
  • Visual storytelling experience, including producing podcasts and short videos, would be a plus.
