Job Description

WorldStrides’ K12 Individual business (Direct-to-Consumer) is looking for an entrepreneurial and passionate Director of Digital Marketing who can build, scale and optimize digital marketing efforts across multiple channels with the goal of driving growth, engagement and conversion while maximizing ROI.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this critical role will work closely with Product Marketing and Sales to create and manage the content, campaigns and analytics for the K12 Individual website, microsites, social media, email, SEO, SEM and other digital initiatives. This role will supervise a team of three and collaborate with our digital agency and external partners.

The successful candidate will possess strong project management skills, a passion for operational efficiency and business results, digital marketing fluency, strong analytical ability, and a history of working directly with marketing and sales stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver on impactful digital marketing execution.

Director of Digital Marketing Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Marketing and Sales to develop and implement detailed digital marketing strategies to support business goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the short and long-term strategic vision of K12 Individual’s websites, social channels and email marketing to grow target audiences and nurture them through the buyer’s journey.
  • Grow reach and traffic from search engines through SEO strategies and content marketing. Direct and prioritize the implementation of SEO on-page and technical optimizations.
  • Evolve and optimize website and landing page performance by designing and implementing user and CRO testing strategies.
  • Manage external digital marketing agencies to implement digital advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness, drive qualified leads, and ultimately generate sales.
  • Develop KPIs/dashboard/metrics, working with digital agencies, to communicate metrics to leadership and key stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct market research on competitors and key influencers to identify best practices and promotional tactics of most interest to our target customers.
  • Review and proofread all digital content such as blogs, social media content, advertisements, and website copy.
  • Keep abreast of the latest consumer and marketing trends and advancements in technology. Recommend new approaches or tools to improve digital performance.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and processes combined with data-driven insights to transform digital marketing for the business.
  • Supervise and manage a team of three motivated marketers, helping them prioritize projects and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of Digital Marketing experience, preferably in B2C or ecommerce industries.
  • Experience using relevant marketing tools such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Moz, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, HotJar, HubSpot, etc.
  • Experience working with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, HotJar, etc.
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems such WordPress, Sitecore and HubSpot.
  • Experience in end-to-end campaign planning, execution, and measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, along with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-department and multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Excellent team management and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Well-rounded marketer with both creative and analytical abilities that can provide input on design and copy but also has a deep understanding of marketing analytics and reporting.
  • Player coach mentality combining the willingness to own specific projects while mentoring and supporting team members.
  • Adaptable, versatile, and able to keep up to date with consumer and marketing trends and advancements in technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Digital Marketing experience, preferably in B2C or ecommerce industries.
