## Minimum Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
– 15 years of experience leading operations, partnerships, or communications in the political space.
– 5 years of experience in people management, growing, and developing teams.
– Experience working with C‑level executives and cross‑functionally across all levels of management.
– Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

– Demonstrated history of building strong relationships with cross‑functional partners to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes in a distributed, global setting.
– Outstanding executive communication skills across technical topics.
– Strong problem‑solving capabilities to develop and deliver on measurable outcomes.
– Excellent political judgment and enthusiasm to work across political lines.

## About the Job
At the intersection of politics, technology, and media, the YouTube Civics team engages with government officials, political campaigns, and political creators and publishers to drive adoption and understanding of the platform.

The Global Civics Partnerships Lead role is at the nexus of this work — managing a team of Partner Managers, setting and overseeing global strategy, and managing day‑to‑day operations.

The role is highly cross‑functional and global in scope. The ideal applicant thrives in a collaborative environment where each day involves balancing projects, ongoing platform operations, and coaching and development for the team.

As the Global Civics Partnerships Lead, you will drive YouTube’s partnership efforts to demonstrate the platform’s value as a destination for civic engagement and political discourse. From crafting initiatives that inspire and engage government entities to use YouTube to connect with their constituents, to helping political creators and publishers understand how the platform works, you will lead how YouTube supports a growing political ecosystem across a variety of viewpoints, formats, and creator types.

You will manage a US‑based team of Partner Managers and collaborate closely with team members around the world to develop and execute strategy. Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

**US Compensation Range:** $224,000 – $312,000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

## Responsibilities
– Manage a team of high‑performing Partner Managers through coaching and development, project oversight, and cultivation of external partner relationships.
– Lead and execute the strategy for the global Civics vertical by collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute goals, tactics, and measurable outcomes.
– Oversee daily operations, including sensitive and high‑stakes engagements, synthesizing multiple viewpoints, driving consensus across stakeholders, and managing internal and external communications.
– Develop and execute initiatives to foster YouTube adoption and understanding among civic entities, optimizing for impact, measuring success, and continuously improving internal processes, communication levers, and tracking systems.
