JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Responsible for planning and conducting public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the company. Plans, develops, directs, and reports on communication of information and storytelling designed to build buzz and keep the public informed of Company’s programs, accomplishments, or point of view. Manages a significant flow of work, partners across teams and functions on deliverables, and meets appropriate deadlines while representing the organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Writes/edits significant communications pieces including press materials and parts of reports.
- Reviews strategic communications plans, social media, news releases, photographs, videos, talking points, and other written and visual materials for media representatives, influencers, and other persons who may be interested in learning about or publicizing the company’s activities or message.
- Represents, coordinates and supervises public relations activities that facilitate communication of the organization’s message to internal and external publics to promote goodwill.
- Contributes to internal reporting materials and monitors traditional and social media for important coverage to share with appropriate team members.
- Focuses direction and efforts on understanding what audience is to be reached and with what message.
- Works with outside vendors to support team needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience or who have extensive related professional experience.
Relevant Work Experience
