Position: Manager – Public Relations and Communications

Holman is currently accepting applications for the role of Manager – Public Relations and Communications.

Primary Purpose of Position:

  • Develop strategy around current and future publicity opportunities to represent the Holman brand, taking into consideration the needs and goals of the business.
  • Develop communications plan and cadence for updates back to business leaders around PR strategy and execution when applicable to their division.
  • Lead content creation efforts and support strategy furthering Holman’s strategic initiatives, particularly in sales and brand awareness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry publications and mainstream media.
  • Identify, craft and pitch compelling story angles for thought leadership to position Holman as a leader in all of our business’ core competencies.
  • Capitalize on emerging trends to create opportunities to highlight Holman in the marketplace.
  • Manage and collaborate with outside creative vendors and other external vendors as appropriate.
  • Media training of key personnel.
  • Manage crisis communications, partnering with the Customer Experience team where necessary.
  • Serve as liaison to all internal customers, including all facets of HR and employee engagement to oversee creation of internal communications campaigns.
  • Create and manage distribution of internal executive communications.
  • Manage team of individual contributors to execute on internal and external communications strategies.
  • Oversee ownership of internal communications channels, including intranet platform, text messaging system, digital monitor network, survey software, and others.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or equivalent work experience.
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus.
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint, etc.).

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 7-10+ years’ experience, including 3+ at a leadership level, in marketing, PR, or agency experience specializing in researching, writing, and editing in a business environment in B2C and B2B environments.
  • Experience in working in our branch (automotive industry) would be desirable but not required.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing processes for idea formulation, business buy-in, pitching, monitoring coverage, and reporting.
