### Shakespeare Theatre Company Marketing Manager Job Opening

Shakespeare Theatre Company is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our highly collaborative Marketing and Communications team.

Reporting to our Associate Director of Marketing, this position plays a key role in the creation and implementation of marketing plans for each production, manages advertising partnerships for ASIDES (programs), and tracks the marketing budget. In collaboration with the MarCom team, the Marketing Manager will take part in the development and implementation of STC’s social media efforts, write copy for and proofread emails and promotional materials, and assist with the creation and execution of events like Young Prose Night. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will assist with research and analysis for marketing planning, and list creation and segmentation for direct and electronic mailings. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $50,000-$53,000.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in theatre, marketing, or a related field and/or 2+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing. They should have sales experience, creativity, and a collaborative spirit. Knowledge of and appreciation for the arts is preferred but not required. Candidates should have strong office administration skills; fluency with Excel, Outlook, and Word are a must. Knowledge or willingness to learn Tessitura, Wordfly, and WordPress is a plus. Must be able to work well in an active, team-based environment while being able to concentrate and perform under deadlines. Creative problem solving, diplomacy, and business sense are required. Some weekends and evenings may be required for certain events like Opening Nights, Public Programs, Pride Festival, Young Prose Night, etc. This is a hybrid position with three days onsite required each week.
